GET INVOLVED

We have opportunities to show your love for your neighbors most in need for every level of ability and commitment.

Giving

Your Generosity Matters

Guests arrive at the Davies Shelters in their worst moments of crisis. Families fleeing domestic violence. Men and women experiencing addiction and crippling mental illness. The feeling of having nowhere else to go. They often feel hopeless.

Just $15 per month pays for a month of groceries at one of our shelters. Just $25 per month provides a week of shelter for a guest, and $100 per month provides a month of shelter for a guest.

Builder's Society

A giving community of donors committed to building the future of The Davies Shelters by committing to give $1,000/year for 5 years.

Neighbor's Society

A giving community for monthly donors. You can join the Neighbor Society by making an online monthly gift of $15 or more per month.

Bring a Meal

Bring a Meal

One of the easiest and most helpful ways to get involved and participate in our guests’ restorative journeys is to sign-up and bring a meal to one of our shelters.

We provide breakfast and lunch every day for our guests, but we certainly could not do it without you. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Sign up on MealTrain to bring a meal to either the Men’s House or the Women & Children’s House
  2. Make, buy or gather a meal for the number of guests listed on the MealTrain (i.e. 12 women and 8 children, 16 men)
  3. Bring it by the house you. signed up for (address on MealTrain) between 5:00-5:30pm on the day.

Farm Bus

VISIT THE FARM BUS

The Davies Shelters’ believes that growing and sharing healthy, high quality food access is central to our work to meet the critical needs of our most vulnerable neighbors in Rome, GA.

You can help us in this work by visiting our Farm Bus and buying fresh produce and other products. Every purchase helps us sustain our work and increases access to farm-fresh produce within our community, especially our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty.
